Babsy App
Digital Experiences
We had the pleasure of co-developing the “Babsy” project for the Institute for Interactive Technologies at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW. We put the existing app through an expert review and rebuilt it from the ground up.
The service centred on “Design for Trust” – after all, babysitting is a highly sensitive matter for everyone involved. Alongside a better user experience, we also refined the information architecture and the look & feel.

Concept and IA
We reworked the entire information architecture (family and sitter mode) and added new flows based on user scenarios we developed for both the sitter and the family side. We also built an InVision prototype covering the family side.
Look & Feel
Instead of the classic “gender colours”, we went for warm, natural and soft shades. The main colour, dark green, stands for versatility, nature and growth.
Together with icons and fresh illustrations in the onboarding, the brand elements make for an inviting, recognisable first impression.
The app follows the UI standards of iOS and Android Material Design.
