Schenkhaus

As an innovation partner of the Reformed Church of Zurich, we played a key role in the strategic development and holistic implementation of the "Schenkhaus" format. Under the guiding principles of generosity, sharing and creativity, a new, meaningful cultural offering for young people in Zurich was created.

The Schenkhaus is a space in which young people are given the opportunity to explore and actively shape creative freedom. The successful partnership has enabled us to develop an innovative format that is based on the principle of giving and sharing and at the same time promotes cultural and creative development.

Our contribution consisted not only in brainstorming and concept development, but also in the design of the visual identity, the implementation of participatory processes and community building.

  • Creating a connection through sharing

  • To promote interaction and sharing in the community, we have developed the "Giving App". Each donated item of clothing is tagged with a QR code at check-in, creating a personal connection between the original and new owner. Users can use this digital platform to share the story of the exchanged garments and exchange ideas. This opens up a new dimension of interaction and sharing in the community.

  • Iconic clothes and jewelry stands

  • We were also involved in the product development of iconic clothing and jewelry stands that were used at the Schenkhaus events.

  • Turning the vision into reality with volunteers

  • Around 150 young people organized two events that attracted more than 1100 visitors in total. Thanks to their voluntary commitment, they helped to ensure that the project was not just a concept, but a real and tangible experience.

The project entered the next round in 2024 with a "pop-up" Schenkhaus lasting several months. The story can be followed at schenkhaus.ch or on Instagram.
