Rooms that have a healing effect.

Healing Environmental Design by Soda Studios

Icon to illustrate healing-architecture

At Soda Studios, people are at the center of everything we do. Their needs and wishes guide our design. We combine functionality with visual harmony and create atmospheres that reduce stress and promote relaxation.

Participatory planning plays a central role in healthcare, learning and working environments in particular. We meet the requirements for flexibility and individual needs with well thought-out, modular solutions.

We plan and build individual furniture for specific projects in our workshop or with local partners. We rely on an interdisciplinary team of planners, interior and product designers, carpenters and 3D design specialists.

Why is Healing Environment Design important?

Our spatial environment has a strong influence on our thinking, state of mind, actions and productivity. A carefully designed atmosphere creates a sense of security and well-being by:

  • uses natural materials
  • uses soft colors and harmonious contrasts
  • creates acoustic balance - through targeted noise reduction and pleasant speech intelligibility

This creates spaces that are not overwhelming, but inviting and supportive.

Our healing environment designs arise from people's needs, create a sense of security and transform spaces into places that promote healing and encounters.

Our approach

We combine perceptual psychology, socio-pedagogical, spatial and psycho-acoustic approaches. This allows us to design interiors that are both aesthetically pleasing and have a positive influence on actions, experiences and interactions.
